Well my luvvies, here we are in 2004 with Christmas a distant memory, the new clothes now worn and washed and the CDs played to over familiarity. My grand daughter bought me an ABBA CD for Christmas – well, when I say she bought me it I doubt that it was her money that paid for it, but you know what I mean.
A small cast of six (4M 2F), and a set consisting of the inside of a large garden shed is the production basics for this play.
It centres around a weekly gathering a group of young professionals who are forming their own political party, and what their manifesto should contain, whether it be unfair trade coffee, sex trafficking, cycle lanes, or more importantly what should the party name and slogan be.
With regret it is announced that CCAT (recently renamed Alliance of Amateur Theatre Organisations) has decided to cease operations. CCAT was an amalgam of umbrella bodies & organisations who represented amateur theatre groups through their membership. It met regularly to talk about points of local and national significance and was able to pass on information from a wide and divergent base to government and local authority legislators.
