Sky Arts today announces the names of a glittering cast of theatre luminaries who have joined Stagestruck the nationwide search for Britain’s best amateur theatre groups. Roger Allam, Martin Shaw, Julie Graham, Paterson Joseph, Richard Wilson, Niamh Cusack, Jill Halfpenny and Dame Harriet Walter will join the nationwide search as mentors for the 8 groups that have made it through to the next round.

Free tickets available to see Miriam Margolyes, Bill Kenwright and Quentin Letts judge the quarter finals for Sky Arts Stagestruck series at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate. Northampton audiences have the chance to book free tickets to watch the quarter-finalists in a new Sky Arts series Stagestruck perform at Royal & Derngate on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October and hear the celebrity judges Miriam Margolyes, Quentin Letts and Bill Kenwright select the groups to go through to the semi-finals. The series is due to be broadcast in Summer 2012.
