The world of theatre is getting behind Great Ormond Street Hospital to help fund two new operating theatres for children suffering from neurological and craniofacial conditions.

Some of the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital experience a very different type of theatre. An operating theatre has lights, and there is often drama but our doctors and surgeons perform life-saving operations every day. Theatres for Theatres is an exciting three-year initiative to raise £4million to help fund two new state-of-the-art operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The theatres will be used to treat children who have complex and often life-threatening neurological and craniofacial conditions. Demand for neurosurgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital already outstrips current capacity and over the next ten years we expect even more referrals from other hospitals. These new facilities will mean that more children will get the specialist treatment they need and that the Neurosciences Team will have the world class facilities to enable them to further their pioneering research and treatment programmes.
