Auditions – Hot and Bothered (Short Film)

by Dagmar2 June 2011

We are a Film School team working on a graduation short which was selected for the BBC Climate Change Competition.

HOT & BOTHERED by writer/director Gia LaSalvia is a quirky 2.5mins comedy to be shot on 5th of June in London and we are looking for energetic secondary characters.

As we are shooting on a micro-budget there aren’t sufficient funds to pay cast & crew but we will pay expenses, invite you to the wrap party and screening, provide a DVD-copy and the BBC will give the short considerable exposure and also promote it online.

These are the characters we are looking for

Bikini Grandma – a spunky mature lady who is so comfortable with herself that she really couldn’t be bothered to fully “cover up” while going out to gather her groceries. She’s extremely hot and effected by the heat, so it just makes way more sense to wear a bikini.

Speedo Man – a friendly chubby man who likes a good ice cream cone. The heat bothers him because it means his ice cream melts too fast, dripping onto his bare (sunburned) belly.

This project is funded by the Open University and the London Film School.  It is an educational film which the BBC has licensed in a non-exclusive royalty-free agreement that includes use on BBC’s online film network and the Open University’s website.  There is no commercial value to the film.
