Auditions – Of Mice and Men
I am looking for a black (American – accent) negro for the wonderful part of Crooks in Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck). I am planning a readthrough of the play this spring/summer with auditions a bit later in the year and performance in May 2011.
The performance will be at our charming little purpose-built theatre in Chipstead, Surrey and will run for a week. The theatre has excellent facilities and produces a very high standard of production. but we are an amateur group and there are no fees or expenses paid.
The play is set in the Californian Agricultural Belt in the 1930s and is a moving play about 2 mens dream to have a place of their own and live ‘off the fat of the land’.
The actor chosen will be welcomed and encouraged by the group and join a team of dedicated amateurs from the surrounding area.Age not too relevant.
