Auditions – The WIZ
AUDITIONS – THE WIZ (LONDON)
Following on from the success of Seussical The Musical, Mayhem Musical Theatre Company is pleased to announce open auditions for their upcoming autumn production of THE WIZ, to be performed at the Arthur Cotterell Theatre, Kingston-upon-Thames from 28th – 31th October 2009. Auditions are open to both adults and children of all ages and will take place on Saturday 27th June and Monday 29th June (see below for more details).
THE SHOW
Based on the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the musical tells the story of Dorothy, who’s blown away from Kansas and lands in Munchkinland where she meets the Cowardly Lion, the Tinman and the Scarecrow; and their adventures as they travel down the yellow brick road to see the Wizard in Oz. The Wiz is a fun, funky and high-energy version of “The Wizard of Oz”, with great musical numbers and a variety of characters for performers of all ages. The show is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in musical theatre, with lots of roles for both adults and children.
