Director Wanted for Our House -The Madness Musical
Splinters Theatre Group is a Sheffield based company, looking to appoint a new director for their 2010 production of Our House – The Madness Musical. Splinters are a young person’s theatre group with a playing age of 14 – 30 years old. We start rehearsals mid May and the productions are performed at the University Drama Studio at the beginning of October. Some experience of working with young adults may be beneficial as we have a talented and lively cast who are ready for anything.
Past productions include Barnum, Joseph, West Side Story, Copacabana, Boogie Nights, We Will Rock You and last year, 42nd Street, which was a resounding success and once again, Splinters received great reviews and achieved sell out audiences.
We would welcome applications from directors with some experience to work with our current production team, bringing us new ideas, lots of energy and a good sense of fun. We are a registered charity and are always looking to raise funds for the society so this would be an unpaid position.
