I am a member of Petts Wood Operatic Society and we are busy rehearsing Fiddler on the Roof. A goup of us has designed , built and painted a great set for the show. The set is constructed on trucks and represents Tevye’s house, the Inn, the station and motel’s shop. There other items that are used to dress the stage, but see below regarding viewing it in performance. This show takes place at The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks, Kent from April 28 to May 1 inclusive. At the end of the last performance it will be dumped into a skip. Now, if there is a Society out there which is planning to present Fiddler, this is an opportunity not to be missed. We are not out to make money, we would like to try to cover the costs of the materials. What would be ideal is for a prospective buyer (s) to come along to the last night (I can arrange tickerts – I am playing Tevye) enjoy the show, see how the set works and then after the final curtain, load the set onto your own van and drive away.
