• Other Information: We’ve just finished our run of LSoH and are looking to sell the set and costumes, including the Audrey II puppets. In our case, the actor playing the Plant was actually on-stage throughout the performance from when the Plant was big enough to start talking. This was a change from how the Plant is normally done (as a giant talking puppet, with the voice of Audrey II off-stage), but I thought it worked really well because the Plant was a lot more interactive with the cast than he normally is. The set-up of the Plant also let you add every eaten victim to the Plant, so that he grows as he eats more people because they become a new ‘shoot’ on the Plant. Eventually all five actors are costumed within the Plant pot, until the very end, when Seymour, Audrey I, Mushnik and Orin detach in their own Plant costumes to roam around the stage for “Don’t Eat the Plants”, to show the Plants taking over the world!
