Free Script Available – The Road To Cromer Pier
20 November 2011
I am writing to introduce my new play. The Road to Cromer Pier is a romantic comedy set in the present day, but harking back to the seventies.
At its heart is the end of pier show, and the lives and loves of the theatre staff and performers. The play exists as a formal script, and has been subject to the review of an established Playwright to Hull Truck Theatre. He commented that “ There is, at the core and amid the madness, a love story between Warren and Janet Wells that is, well, rather satisfying and, for this reader, the best thing about the play. There are some good one-liners, some nice set-ups and gags and, generally, this is a feelgood piece of entertainment. …………… for some theatre groups this would be an ideal piece of work.”
I have written and had performed three pantomimes which have been well received, and this is my first play. I am based in East Yorkshire, and looking to get it performed. I am not seeking any royalties at this point, just the pleasure of seeing it performed. Contact me on martin [at] vega [dot] karoo [dot] co [dot] uk
