Roman Scandals
Julio Caesar, the soon to be Roman Emperor, must marry an Angle princess if he is to inherit the throne of the Caesars, a condition laid down by his late father. Hence, a raiding party heads for Britannicus to kidnap the beautiful Voluptua, aided by a roman spy, Devious Devious (Double D). The kidnap is successfully carried out by Caesar’s henchman, Glutious Maximus (a.k.a. Big Bum) but Big Bum also has designs on the Roman throne.
Despite the success of the kidnap, Princess Voluptua’s fiancé, Mykindomforanhorse, sets off in pursuit of the kidnappers, aided by his father, Optimistix and his (soon to be) father in law Rule Britanicus. Mayhem follows in Rome, leading to a happy ending.
It is an original script, written in the style of a traditional pantomime. We had great fun performing it ourselves and hope that others will do too.
