Sale of Costumes
Llangollen Operatic Society is selling off some of their costumes and period clothes.
We do not hire in costumes for our shows, and so for every show more costumes get made or bought, and now our Costume Store is BURSTING. We are combining the Sale with an Attic Sale of miscellaneous household and garden stuff. It all happens on the 25th July – a Saturday – from 10a.m. to 1a.m. in the Llangollen Operatic Studio, on Castle Street Llangollen. We have some togas and tunics from our production of ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum’, some toreadors from ‘Carmen’, some ‘medieval’ dresses from ‘Kiss me Kate’ as well as long dresses from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Also about 30 skirts from various periods. We will be adding more and more items until the 25th.
You are very welcome to come and browse and make us an offer. We are not looking to make a fortune – the costumes will be very reasonably priced – as we would prefer to let them go to somewhere that they will be of use.
