Set Construction/Stage Crew wanted in West London
We, the Concorde Players, the friendly amateur dramatics troop, based near Heathrow, are looking for budding Handy Andys/Amy’s to help us build the set for our forthcoming pantomime “Cinderella”.
It may seem early to be thinking about panto already, but we are taking advantage of a rare break between shows over the Summer months to get a headstart on construction for the show.
Which is where you come in!
DIY skills can be put to use for designing, building and decorating the sets and props. Previous experience isn’t necessary – just talent and enthusiasm. So, if you’re a dab hand with a drill, a whizkid with a hammer and nails, maestro of the screwdriver or an artist with a paintbrush the group need your help to produce, amongst other things, Prince Charming’s palace, Baron Hardup’s Hall and Cinderella’s magic pumpkin Coach.
Our small but talented set construction team have built us some fantastic sets for our previous shows. However, recent departures due to retirement and emigration have left their numbers rather depleted. So we’re looking for talented local DIYers to join the team. There’s a great sense of cameraderie amongst the backstage guys and gals and a great sense of satisfaction in working together to produce fabulous scenery from the most ordinary of materials.”
To find out more about our group and what’s involved come along to an Open Evening at 18:30 on Monday 22nd June at the Concorde Club, Crane Lodge Road, Heston TW5 9PQ.
We look forward to seeing you there.
