Youth Theatre Assistant Wanted (York)
We’re looking for someone to assist in the rehearsal process for our upcoming youth theatre production, a revue of songs from the hit TV series Glee. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in directing, developing and coaching young people as they prepare for their performance to a live audience. You’ll be working alongside a professional Musical Director and choreography team. The purpose of the role is to give a group of approximately twenty young people a consistent point of contact, whilst the person leading their rehearsals will change week to week. The role will also involve some administrative tasks, such as taking the register.
Role requirements
Previous experience working with young people and involvement in performing arts
CRB check to be carried out if one is not currently held
It is a volunteer role, where you’ll be needed for 3 hours for one evening per week
(for example, 5pm-8pm every Tuesday evening, time/day to be agreed)
Attendance at Sunday full cast rehearsals is optional
Rehearsals start w/c 20th Sept 2010 and finish w/c 22nd Nov 2010
