Come and enjoy this rags-to-riches tale of Annie’s adventure from a New York orphanage to the luxurious home of millionaire Oliver Warbucks. It is a story of hope, charity and the realisation that money isn’t everything in life, but love is.
This wonderful family show is based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip ‘Little Orphan Annie’, with the book written by Thomas Meehan, music and lyrics by Charles Strouse & Martin Charnin. First produced on Broadway in 1977, it has won 3 Tony Awards- for Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book. Full of favourite sing-along songs such as ‘Hard Knock Life’, ‘You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile’ and ‘Tomorrow’.
Orphan Annie is convinced that her parents will one day come and she can be in a family again. Her adventurous escape from the orphanage is short lived, but when she’s chosen to spend Christmas with the millionaire, that’s when fun, intrigue and a roller-coaster of emotions begins.
