- Notes: Set against the background of the depression in 1930′s New York, this is the heartwarming story of orphan Annie’s quest to find her family. We find her in an orphanage with her friends leading a ‘Hard Knock Life’ under the regime of the wicked Miss Hannigan. Enter the benevolant millionaire, Oliver Warbucks who is looking for an orphan to entertain for Christmas. Through various adventures with the unscrupulous brother of Miss Hannigan and his girlfriend who are looking for a good time on ‘Easy Street’, Annie continues to believe that ‘The Sun’ll Come Out Tomorrow’ and finally gets her wish when she is invited to stay permenantly with Warbucks and he invites all her orphan friends to a big family Christmas
