• Notes: The S.S. American, sailing from New York to England, carries a motley crew (and that’s just the passengers!). Included amongst them are a gangster (Moonface Martin), a wealthy debutante and her mother (Hope and Evangeline Harcourt), a nightclub singer (Reno Sweeney), and a wealthy New York businessman (Elisha Whitney). Also on board, as a stow-away, is Elisha’s assistant (Billy Crocker). Billy is in love with Hope but unfortunately, she is now engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, a wealthy Englishman. There is a lot of comedy and fun on the voyage, but who ends up with whom?
