Open Adult – The Windsor Globe 2011

‘Much Ado About Nothing’ & The Wind in The Willows’

Are you a Benedict or Beatrice?  Toad or Ratty? Then this is for you . . .

An established outdoor community theatre festival, professionally directed and produced, taking place in the picturesque Alexander Gardens at the foot of Windsor Castle. We work in partnership with RBWM. Rehearsals and auditions take place in Bracknell, Berkshire at Artemis Studios. Checkwww.windsorglobe.co.uk for details, go to the auditions page.

We are looking to cast male and female actors for all of the 23 speaking parts (including chorus) for ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and 6 leads for Alan Bennett’s adaptation of ‘The Wind in The Willows’. Anyone under the age of 16 should visit the website for details on how to get involved.

Audition dates are Monday 28th March (registration at 7pm) and Sunday 3rd April (registration at 11am) at Artemis Studios, 30 Charles Square, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1AY.

Rehearsals commence Monday 9th May (for three weeks, Monday evenings) and then continue weekly on Sundays from the 5th June (plus various evenings as required by the directors). Rehearsals take place in Bracknell, shows are all in Windsor.

Do not apply if you live miles away from Bracknell or Windsor. No travel expenses will be paid :-)

The Windsor Globe is a not-for-profit company who aim to include as many community actors as possible. We are funded by our tickets sales.

We welcome applications from everyone, we are very keen to hear from actor-musicians and singers this year! People who consider themselves disabled can also apply – we have full wheelchair access!

Windsor Globe

I am the producer for The Windsor Globe, an annual theatre festival which takes place in Alexandra Gardens in Windsor each summer. We produce two shows each season - one classical and one children's show, as well as a charity gala and a fund raiser for local brass and wind bands. The festival is professionally produced and directed, but offers non-proffessional (community) actors the chance to take part in something really special. Each year we aim to work with 20-40 adult actors and 40 children (8-16). www.windsorglobe.co.uk
