Auditions – Sorry, I love You
- Jun 30th 2010 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Auditions are being held on Wednesday 30th June 2010 at Chelsfield Methodist Church, Windsor Drive, BR6 6HD at 8pm:
‘Sorry, I love you…’
I will be directing the Autumn-10 production of ‘Sorry, I love you…’ and it will be my first time directing. I provide you with a synopsis for the play:
Helen sits dejectedly on a pavement in Wimbledon having just broken up with her boyfriend Pete. She meets two people who prove significant to her in different ways. With romance developing, Helen accompanies Jools on a world tour, witnessed by several hotel receptionists and others who all bear — to Helen’s increasing amazement — the uncanniest resemblance to the tramp … This play proves that relationships sometimes need a little help — and that that help can come from the least expected sources.
The cast for this is 1 woman and 2 men.
Helen – script suggests thirties, but an age similar to Jools is acceptable.
Jools – script also suggests thirties, but an age similar to Helen is acceptable.
Tramp – male, 35+, plays 12 different personae across 8 different accents – Cockney, Greek, London Suburban, Irish, American, Japanese, Russian and Scottish.
All three are large roles in a two-act Romantic-Comedy, set in modern day times.
