Spring 2010 sees Denise Currell directing Billy Liar, a play by Keith Waterhouse & Willis Hall, produced by arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.

Less than dedicated to his job as undertaker’s clerk, bored with his North Country family background, Billy Fisher takes refuge in his own invented world. For Billy, an energetic imagination makes life tolerable but well-nigh intolerable for all around him. He lies his way into and out of every situation producing any explanation and making any promise that will extricate him from his present predicament, and thereby creating ever more tortuous entanglements for the immediate future.

Dates: Fri 19^th, Sat 20^th March, Thurs 25th, Fri 26th, Sat 27th March 2010

All performances are at the Church Hall, The Glebe, Bishopston, Swansea, curtain rises at 7.30 pm (doors open 6.45pm). Tea, coffee, red and white wine, squash and biscuits will be sold at the interval.  Ticket Prices £5 (£4 concession) First Night “buy one get one free” deal. i.e. 2 full price tickets can be purchased for £5, 2 concession tickets for £4 and 1 full price and 1 concession ticket will cost £5.  To book tickets: -
