Extra Information
- As you may or may not have noticed, our theatres are currently plagued by revue shows claiming to be new, original and fresh, when in fact all they are doing is presenting a collection of old songs from musicals you’ve probably seen before, out of context, and in quick succession. So we thought we’d give it a go ourselves, and we came up with a slightly less traditional collection of songs (though of course we had to include a few of the classics to keep our grandmas happy). Why not come along and see what we’ve chosen?DISCLAIMER: Fans of Ethel Merman may be disappointed. Will include songs from shows, such as:
The Warmth of the Womb, The Last Five Years, 37 Notebooks, Children of Eden, Just So, Edges, Avenue Q, Spring Awakening, Songs for a New World, and Parade.Director: Ed Theakston. Musical Director: Joe Robinson.
Presented by a cast of young people studying at some of the country’s best institutions, including Italia Conti, ArtsEd and Royal Holloway University of London. All proceeds will go to the Stroke Association and the Actors’ Benevolent Fund.
