- Notes: Closer is a British comedy-drama of coupling and uncoupling, instant attraction and infidelity and offers more than just a peek inside someone else’s bedroom. It exposes the raw nerve of pain that comes with the territory of love.There are four characters – Alice is a stripper, very young, and self destructive, her lover Dan is a writer of obituaries, Larry is a doctor with an obsession about sex, Anna is a photographer. But as it is a reading anyone can read for any of the parts so don’t be put off!Please be aware that the language is quite colourful. (We are planning to produce a production of Patrick Marber’s brilliant play, Dealers Choice, in March 2005 so make sure you come to the reading if you are interested in auditioning).
