• Notes: Set in New York, Company follows five married, once married, or soon to be married couples and their mutual friend, Robert (Bobby), a 35 year old bachelor who has been unable to connect in a long-term relationship. The whole evening is a ‘flashback’ on the occasion of Bobby’s 35th Birthday. While Bobby’s friends are eager for their bachelor friend to follow their footsteps into married life, Bobby’s not ready to take the plunge and observing their fights, plans of affairs, talk of divorce and refuge in pot and alcohol doesn’t do a lot to change his mind. Besides, he’s having too much fun amusing himself with the countless women who come to New York such as Marta, Kathy and April. In the end, however, in spite of all his observations, he comes to the conclusion that there is no point in ‘Being Alive’ unless you have someone to share life with.
