- Notes: Bernard invites his mistress for the weekend whilst sending his wife off to her mother’s. He engages his best friend Robert as an alibi but Robert turns out to be his wife’s secret lover and the cook is mistaken for the mistress and vice versa. Robert and Bernard have some slick talking and thinking to do and the play is a riotous comedy throughout.
