A dark and passionate new musical based on one of the most fear-provoking novels ever written. Take a spine-chilling trip to the dark side when the world’s most notorious vampire descends upon the Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford this Halloween. Stage One Theatre Company presents the London premiere of this hit Broadway musical.
DRACULA THE MUSICAL is a thrilling drama of suspense and a Gothic romance of dreamlike temptation from the extraordinary creative team Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard), Don Black (Tell Me On A Sunday / Aspects of Love) and Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde / The Scarlet Pimpernel).
Set in Europe at the end of the Victorian era, this electrifying production tells the story of the infamous Count, who leaves his crumbling castle in search of new blood and that of the small band of mortals who must face his overwhelming seduction and supernatural powers. Upon his arrival in London, the ancient vampire finds himself drawn to Mina Murray, the young fiancée of his London solicitor Jonathan Harker. The ensuing battle pits Mina against those who would destroy her – and those who would save her.
The production features a number of hits songs, including The Mist, Please Don’t Make Me Love You, Before the Summer Ends and Life After Life. Beautiful ballads, powerful choral numbers and stunning visual effects combine to make this a theatrical experience not to be missed.
