• Notes: When Chief Constable Henry Potterton and his sister, Sarah, arrive at the peaceful country house of their late lamented brother, Bernard, they find several scantily-clad young ladies wandering about, not knowing that during Bernard’s temporary absence on a religious commune in the Orkneys his housekeeper, Nora Winthrop, has turned the place into a “house of sin”. She tries to hide the truth from them. This leads to many hilarious comings and goings involving a vicar, a window cleaner in a laundry basket and a solicitor on horseback – not to mention the aforesaid pretty girls. The household is thrown into confusion and chaos leading to an unexpected climax.
