• Notes: There will be thrills, chills and shivers down the spine in the Wick Theatre Company production of Gaslight, by Patrick Hamilton, a gripping play set in Victorian London. There are spooky goings-on in Bella Manninghams outwardly respectable home. Footsteps are heard in unoccupied rooms, gaslights fade for no apparent reason, familiar objects keep disappearing. Is poor, terrified Bella going mad, as Jack, her cold and domineering husband seems to believe? Or is there something more sinister at work? With the arrival of retired detective Rough, the plot builds up to a positively nail-biting conclusion.The Barn Theatre has a loop for the hard-of-hearing and facilities for the disabled including wheel-chair access.
