• Notes: Like a bit of mystery? Join us for our forthcoming production – ‘Ghost Writer’ by David Tristram at The Dovehouse Theatre, Langley School, Olton, Solihull on Friday 18th & Saturday 19th April 2008. It is a darkly comic tale about the fickle and sometimes murderous world of showbiz. A talented yet spoilt, diva-like actress is found dead in bed after an apparent overdose of cocktails and booze, leaving her playwright husband and regular warring partner Edward to mourn and mope and drink his own bodyweight in gin. That is until Ruby comes back from the dead, to proclaim that she was not suicidal but in fact….murdered. Which of the brash, hetero/homosexual (and those still undecided) thespians in her circle did it? The only way to find out, is to gather those present on that fateful night and visit the place and time in which the scene was set…..Stage 27 are an established Amateur Dramatics Group based in Acocks Green (with meetings taking place every Wednesday at 8pm at the Methodist Church at the corner of Botteville and Shirley Road). We have members from all walks and ages of life and are constantly on the look out for fresh talen (in all areas of Am Dram).
