The huge rambling castle of Gormenghast has stood for thousands of years, inhabited by the royal family of Groan and their loyal servants. Yet as they celebrate the birth of a new heir, Prince Titus, something is stirring in the stone halls and threatening the order of things. Countess Gertrude must do everything in her power to protect the sacred rituals, but can she ensure the future of Gormenghast? Based on the cult novels by Mervyn Peake, Gormenghast is a dark, Gothic fantasy and an epic tale of murder, mystery and madness. Not suitable for children, with some strong language.
