- Notes: Grimmbourne 2008: Yeomen of the Guard & Me and My Girl We are pleased to announce that this year’s Grimmbourne charity-fundraising concert will be held on July 17-19 at the Tippett Hall at St Piran’s School, Maidenhead. As you will remember from last year, the venue has plenty of space for even more audience members, singers and orchestra! Each performance will start at 7.45pm, but the school grounds will be open from 6.00pm each evening for picnics. This year’s concert offers a very English programme, pairing Gilbert & Sullivan’s classic tragi-comedy Yeomen of the Guard (conducted by Pippa Eden, fresh back from her honeymoon) with the upbeat Me and My Girl (conducted by Graham Barker). This is our main charity fundraising event of the year, and this year we have chosen to support Macmillan Nurses.
