  Based on the original play of The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder, this musical set in the 1890s in Yonkers is the story of Mrs Dolly Levi (“Some people paint, some people sew ….. I meddle”) and her efforts to marry Horace Vandegelder “the well-known half-a-millionaire” so that she can distribute his money to the good of others. She also manages to match up various eligible bachelors to the girls/women looking for husbands. Dolly is charming, scheming, wily and clever – what a woman! All this happens in words, songs and dances that will have you smiling, humming and tapping your feet all the way home!
