Six aspiring authors meet on a winter’s evening to discuss their work. Diverse in their backgrounds and literary styles, they include writers of historical romances and children’s literature who are finding it difficult to start writing, a crime writer who can’t stop, and a creator of extremely complicated science fiction. The group also includes a librettist without a musical partner and the Writers’ Circle chairman, Arnold, who produces instruction manuals.

Towards the end of another acrimonious meeting, Arnold attempts to inspire the group by suggesting that they collaborate on a piece of writing – an idea which is received without enthusiasm.

Little does Arnold know that his bold initiative will lead to a creative whirlwind, the like of which he has never experienced before.

Sharp comedy and affectionate satire characterize this zany, imaginative play.
