CROADS next show is the 1999 revised version of Kiss Me Kate, one of Cole Porter’s best loved musicals you can see it at the Victory Hall Chigwell on Wednesday the 14th April until the 17th April at 8 pm. This is a first for CROADS to perform a big Broadway musical at their pocket handkerchief size venue and you can expect to see many big song and dance routines. The ages of the small cast range from 15 to 82.

Kiss Me Kate is a play within a play. Derek Wright plays Fred Graham ,producer, writer, superman, who is director of a travelling company of actors putting on a production of The Taming of The Shrew. But not only that, Fred is an actor himself taking the leading role and
he has set the whole production to music!

Fred has cast his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi, played by Debbie Turner, their better acting days behind them, as his leading lady! It is a parody of The Shrew as they fight and argue off stage as well as on but they really still love each other.
