• Notes: Murdered to Death is a hilarious send-up of Agatha Christie’s whodunits with a cast of characters guaranteed to keep the audience in stitches until the culprit is revealed. Bagshot House is the venue for a jolly weekend party that goes quite sour – as we knew it would! Predictably, someone gets murdered early in Act One. Who did the dreadful deed, and why? The house is full of suspicious types, from a smooth-talking French art dealer and his high class companion, to a crusty, retired Colonel and his wife. Can the timid housekeeper, Dorothy, be as genuine as she appears? Even the butler seems to behave strangely – surprise, surprise! Enter the inept Inspector Pratt to solve the murder, bungling his way happily through the mounting odds and haplessly by-passing the clues that are provided for the audience. Perhaps he’d be better off leaving the sleuthing to the real professionals, like Constable Tompkins or the elderly spinster, Joan Maple – yes, the spelling is correct! Can they find the killer – or killers- before he/she/they strike again? Will the audience die of laughter before that happens! Don’t miss this riot of laughter. The feel-good factor doesn’t come at better-value-for-money than this.
