How To Nail That Casting
Looking at:
Preparing singing audition pieces
Getting into the business and once you are in how to get ahead- including an assessment of how to improve your vocal technique, and a headshot and CV surgery
In the morning’s Masterclass, students will present their prepared songs and receive detailed feedback from the tutors. There may be some re-working. Vocal and acting technique will be covered.
In the afternoon- students will learn one new song, which will be rehearsed and presented at the end of the day, with feedback from the tutors.
Students will leave the workshop with vocal and physical warm up techniques. 2 prepared vocal audition pieces, CV and headshot advice ( if required) and audition technique skills.
Please bring with you one prepared song and sheet music. Sheet music must be submitted a week in advance to us. If you are unable to get sheet music in time, please be prepared to sing unaccompanied.
We shall send you a list of the scenes/arrangements we will be working for you to get familiar with
If you would like the tutors to take a look at your headshot and CV, please inform us of this and bring copies with you. We shall then allot time for this on the day depending on numbers and demand. Everyone will be seen who requests this and will receive a personalised vocal assessment and advice on their CV and headshot and presentation skills.
