• Notes: Marion Bishop, an elderly writer of romantic novels is dying. Katherine Willis, a kind soul from the village becomes hercarer even though she is coping with her mentally handicapped brother. When Katherine leaves for a cousin’s wedding,Laura, a trained nurse from London takes her place. A series of mysterious phone calls and the appearance of Raymond,Marion’s nephew start the nightmare situation which is further complicated by the death of Katherine’s brother and anunexplained relationship between the nurse and the village GP. This play has deceit, suspicion and blackmail subtlywoven into a cunning plot which ends with a surprising and ingenious twist.
