• Notes: Whitkirk goes Oom Pah PahBeware, a gang of unruly pick pockets will be rampaging through Whitkirk next week, no need to worry though, it’s only on stage. Whitkirk Arts Guild are performing their annual musical, this year it’s Oliver!. This show, a firm family favourite, contains plenty of well-known songs including Oom Pah pah, You’ve got a pick a pocket or two and Consider yourself. The show is being produced by Gail Jackson. Gail is an experienced producer with Whitkirk Arts Guild with many shows under her belt including Godspell, Fiddler on the roof to name but two. Gail also played Old Sally in Whitkirk Arts Guild’s first production of Oliver! 19 years ago.A number of other people who are involved with this production were also in the show 19 years ago, watch out for Mrs Sowerberry and the landlord, they should know their parts from last time.Let us take you to old London Town and see our talented youngsters bring this timeless classic to life.
