- Notes: Adapted from Charles Dickens’ famous novel the musical tells how Oliver Twist, a young impressionable orphan, is goaded by the other boys at the Workhouse run by Mr. Bumble to ask for more food, punished for his ingratitude by being sold. The musical follows the impressionabel boy as he encounters the extremes of Victorian life from the workhouse to the love of an upper class family life.
