by Tom Stoppard
When Zangler, owner of an upmarket grocery shop, heads into the city to wine and dine his fiancee, his two assistants abandon their duties to embark on embark on high jinks of their own. Freely adapted from a nineteenth century Austrian comedy, Stoppard’s farce is as light as a viennese cream puff and fast as a runaway hansom cab, with no identity left unmistaken, no pun unturned and every entendre doubled.
