I am a retired Power engineer and spent 30 years of my life in the power industry working as a Boiler/Turbine Test Engineer. I became involved in amateur dramatics many years ago and have, as some of you know had some marvellous parts during that time. Being born and brought up in Lancashire, home of some of the best “kitchen sink” comedy, I have played most of the leads i.e. Hobson in Hobsons Choice, Raife in Spring and Port Wine, Ezra in The Family Way and so on! I have also directed one or two but much prefer acting. The last play I co-directed was “Rutherford & Son”, a little known play by Gytha Sowerby and quite a challenge to any society.
