- Other Information:Wednesday 8th to Saturday 11th July at 8.00pm.Willy Russell’s funny and moving West End hit, originally starring Pauline Collins and later made into a major film, tells of Shirley Valentine, the 42-year-old put-upon mother and housewife who packs her bags and heads for the sun. The note on the kitchen table reads, ‘Gone to Greece, back in two weeks!’The Lighted Fools production features Karen Salsberg as Shirley and is directed by Richard Parish. It will be one of the events of the inaugural 2009 Riverhouse Festival of Theatre.
