I MARRIED AN INVISIBLE MERMAID
No, it’s not another wacky story from the red tops; it’s just one of Charles’s mad ideas for a play in SITUATION COMEDY by Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, to be performed by DOUGLAS DRAMA GROUP in Parbold.
Charles and Arthur are trying to write some new material but suffer from writers block. So they turn to drink, food, holiday snaps, Miss Trotter and (each other’s !!) wives for inspiration. What follows is a hilarious sequence of events involving dumplings, an Arab and even a dead ferret. Not to be missed.
The comedy is being staged for three nights on 27, 29 & 30 APRIL at the Parbold WI Hall at 7.30p.m. Tickets, priced at £6, are on sale now at Parbold Do-it-Yourself Centre and Parbold Fruit & Veg.
Parbold Douglas Drama Group is an amateur dramatic group, based in Parbold, Lancashire, performing two productions per year in local venues.
