• Notes: The story is set during WW2on an American Base in the South Pacific. Lieutentant Cable arrives to carry out a secret mission on a neighbouring island. Plantation owner Emile de Becque falls in love with ensign Nelkie Forbush. Island souvenir seller Bloody Mary tries to persuade Cable to marry her young daughter, Liat.
