About the Author
The first production of this new group was Aladdin staged in February 2008 at the group's new home venue: The Oakwood Centre. The success of previous shows had convinced the group to find a bigger, more versatile venue and this paid off with four more performances which played to great reviews. The Daydreams experiment was beginning to look very promising, and the group began making plans for a further production, their most ambitious yet: an original pantomime version of the children's classic Wizard of Oz.
The pre-Production process began in June 2008 and, after three months of development, a script was ready to go into rehearsal. Hugely succesful open auditions in October discovered more new talent and the show began its rehearsal run in mid-October. eventually opening in February 2009 and again playing to four audiences at The Oakwood Centre.
