- Notes: East Actors newest production is coming up on Friday 30th June and Saturday 1st July. A thoroughly modern version of John Godber’s “Teechers”, we are bringing the comedy and tragedy of the education system to the stage. Follow the lives of Salty, Gail and Hobby as they struggle through school trying to find some meaning in their adolescence. The arrival of the new drama teacher Jeff Nixon, gives them the outlet they need to show what they are really good at, causing trouble! Jeff finds Whitewall School in a state of chaos, children rule the halls, teachers continuously job hunt in the staff room and the over amorous head mistress has taken quite a shine to Mr Nixon. Will they get it together in time for the end of term? Will Doug the caretaker ever smile? Will Mrs Parry succeed in seducing Mr Nixon?
