Extra Information
- Notes: The concept of this production grew out of Clifford Bax’s play published in 1937 called ‘The Cloak’, written in Shakespearean rhythms with morals of the time which still ring true today. It is set in a place destined only for transition – neither heaven nor earth. An angel oversees procedures, as unborns sometimes cross paths with the spirits of the recently dead.Three versions have been conceived. The first in its original style, the second in mime & dance, & the third in modern language rewritten with the cast in mind .Each version has a different ending. The evening will begin with an adaptation of a Tolstoy play called ‘What Men Live By’. A tale of a poor cobbler who helps a stranger by taking him back to his home, to sharehis meager food.Come & enjoy this exciting, creative production,& go home with something to think about.
