The Crucible
- Jun 18th 2009 to Jun 20th 2009
Tickets are now on sale for Compton Little Theatre’s summer production
The Crucible by Arthur Miller from Thursday 18th June to Saturday 20th June 2009.
Miller’s award winning play, described as “one of a handful of great plays that will both survive the twentieth century and bear witness to it” is based on one of the strangest and chilling chapters of American history, the 1692, Salem witch trials, dramatising a small community thrown into mass hysteria by superstition, paranoia, greed and malice. With a talented cast, drawn from a number of other local dramatics groups as well as some familiar faces, the director, Alison Hough is staging an innovative, “theatre-in-the-round” production, which provides an opportunity to exploit the full drama of the play in an intimate setting. Don’t miss it!
