Growing Up Is Childs Play!

It maybe pantomime season but Keighley Playhouse has broken all the rules – especially when acting with children and animals.

The Flint Street Nativity takes you into the world of Mizzis Horrocks’ class of seven-year-olds who are about to perform their nativity play for the proud mums and dads – and the occasional social worker. It could only be the eagerly awaited first night performance of the Flint Street Primary School. We meet two girls fighting over the role of Mary; a screamingly funny innkeeper; and the boy who has a unique method of judging women’s ages! Even a stick insect plays its part in the traditional Christmas story. What makes this play funnier is that the children are played by adults.
