Terence Brady and Charlotte Bingham’s adaptation of Rosamunde Pilcher’s international bestseller, ‘The Shell Seekers’, is a heart-rending story of a modern English family, set in London and Cornwall between World War II and the present.
Penelope Keeling, recuperating after a heart-attack, takes time to look back on her life, enjoy time in her home and takes comfort in a painting done by her father.
Having discovered the true worth of their grandfather’s work her children are keen to gain their inheritance early, but Penelope has other ideas and is determined to restore peace and put her life in order before anyone gets what is due to them. It is a story of love, courage and determination. It is also a story of The Shell Seekers – a painting and ancestral legacy which threatens to shatter the family’s very existence.
