It’s an after-Easter treat! The first of Cottenham Theatre Workshop’s 2017 celebrations to mark 40 years of local entertainment.

The V of D is probably one of the most popular TV shows ever (it ran for 25 years would you believe it) and there is even speculation that Dawn French might one day reappear, but this time as a  bishop. As writers Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer never shied away from controversy this could well happen.

The stage play, based on many of the amiable and out of the ordinary characters and aspects of life in the village of Dibley, is by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter (with kind permission to Tiger Aspect ). Director Gloria Milne, helped by musician husband Mike, presents an evening that’s full of warmth and laughter, with fun and games planned as part of the show. As some of the proceeds will go to Comic Relief so it will make a difference. Don’t miss it!

THE VICAR OF DIBLEY, from 19 to 22 April, 7.30pm, Cottenham Village College (doors open at 7.15). Tickets £9/£7 from TicketSource or from www.cottenhamtheatre.com or by phone on 0333 666 4466 (fee may be charged).
